So, my friend (buried under those gowns) posted it on facebook as a way to brag about his surgical internship. When I saw it, I questioned the appropriateness of such pictures on social networks and even sent him a message about it. His response? Apparently, I've become too sensitive since I moved to the US and he sees absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I just could not believe that his mentor/advisor allowed a camera in the O.R. and I have a sneaking suspicion that the patient did not authorize such a picture. Or maybe he's right, I've done too many HIPAA trainings (there's nothing a doctor in stato fears more than a lawsuit.)
In short, that's what I think is wrong with the picture: it shouldn't exist.

And that theater - it looks sort of like dingy. Like it needs some more equipment or something. Better lights. Haki this is Africa. And the picture should not exist. Are we moving forth or backwards Africa?

Cameras do make their way into theatres with patient's consent. Youcan not tell who the patient is there.
How do I know cameras make their way into theatres? that is where the pics in lectres notes and vivas and medical journals and etc,etc come from. With consent of course. Although posting on facebook..............mmmmmmmhhhhhhh,not sure
I had surgery in the US at a teaching hospital and was asked for permission beforehand for photos to be taken. I wonder if this fellow was. I must say, as uncomfortable as this surgery looks, it doesn't look at all "personal". How would anyone know this was their surgery. I'm just saying.

LOL...No. But someone I know is. But, I think there's something wrong with the picture.
Let me try. The operating table is usually a little higher with the patient in the middle and there is more light in OR.
Hmmm...here's a hint. If this was in stato, someone would be sueing the living daylights out of these surgeons.
